SisterWorks is offering a fun and creative beginners workshop on how to sew a cute and practical multifunctional mini purse that fits cards, notes and coins.

This making workshop is perfect for beginners. No prior experience is needed, and your teacher Milia will guide you through the whole process. Milia is one of our many talented entrepreneurs here at SisterWorks, and she can’t wait to show you what she knows.

In this 3 hour workshop you will learn basic sewing techniques with the sewing machine. At the end of the workshop you will go home with a cute mini purse perfect for yourself or as a unique ethical gift for someone you care about.

About our Sister

Milia is originally from Brazil. Before she came to Australia, she worked as a Family Nurse in a Community Health Centre. She did handcrafts as a hobby, and started sewing classes for Brazilian women when she came to Melbourne. However, working at home felt lonely. Her encounter with SisterWorks changed this, and she now enjoys making dolls and teaching other women how to improve their sewing skills, all in the company of other Sisters.
