Adelina was born in Penang, Malaysia to Malaysian-Chinese parents. Due to her dad’s job as a Civil Engineer, her family moved often throughout her childhood. Eventually, Adelina migrated solo to Melbourne to complete her tertiary education before finally settling in Melbourne.
Adelina completed an Economics degree majoring in Accounting and Administration and is qualified as a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA). Throughout her career, she’s worked in various companies, from small firms to multinational companies, and volunteers regularly.
Adelina came across SisterWorks while volunteering at Women’s Association South East Melbourne Australia. She immediately fell in love with SisterWork’s mission and arts and crafts programs. As our Jobs Advocate, Adelina supports job-seekers in our community through their employment journey.
Adelina loves spending time in nature, playing sports and travelling. Apart from white water rafting in Rotorua, New Zealand and Bali, one of the best trips of her life was spending two weeks in Egypt in 2015. To learn more about Adelina, check out her Q&A with Jobs Victoria.
