Maria is a second generation Romanian, born in Australia to two migrant parents. Passionate about the social enterprise sector and serving the community, she commenced her Internship with SisterWorks in 2019 while finalising her undergraduate degree in International Relations. The mission of SisterWorks struck close to her heart and she immediately fell in love with their work. Being born and raised by migrant parents, and working to serve this community in their integration into Australian society is an incredibly enriching experience for her.
Maria currently works as the Corporate and Wholesale Partnerships Associate. Over the past 2 years with SisterWorks, she has had the opportunity to work within a variety of teams including the retail, engagement, marketing and fundraising team. In her experience the number one thing that has stood out to her is how generous the supporters of SisterWorks are within our community. This admiration is what drives her work in engaging with external stakeholders to maintain relationships and make more and more people fall in love with SisterWorks.
