NAIDOC Week – working towards a shared future

Published by marketingsisterworks on

SisterWorks’ team pays full respect to all the First Nation people, especially the elders, past, present and becoming. We support the Treaty and respect the enduring culture of the First Nation people. We give thanks and acknowledge that we are standing on the land seized from Wathuarung people of the Kulin Nation.

As an organisation promoting the empowerment of women through work, we value the importance of resilience and the right for each woman to emancipate and to become who they want to be. We recognise the fact that our organisation was built on stolen land and that we, as an organisation and as individuals, benefit from the privileges of this circumstance.

We, as a collective, work towards a shared future. SisterWorks wishes to everyone a beautiful NAIDOC week. This week we recognize the importance of learning about the Historical facts that built the present situation of the land we stand on. So this week, each one of us could share new information we learnt about the Treaty to educate each other.
