Valerie Deneen (She/Her), Hong Kong
Valerie, as the Head of Social Enterprise at SisterWorks, is driven by a deep commitment to empowering disadvantaged migrant women to thrive and find their place in their new communities. Her journey at SisterWorks began as a volunteer Business and Sales Strategy Mentor in July 2019. Presently, she leads the Social Enterprise in ongoing strategic planning initiatives, key account management, new business development, and oversees the team in the day-to-day operations of SisterWorks' production, shop, and cafe.
Valerie's unique global perspective stems from her experiences living in Hong Kong, New York, and Singapore before settling in Melbourne, Australia. Her successful background as an Account Director for a prominent US-based multinational company, with responsibilities for business development and operations in the Asia Pacific region, adds to her wealth of experience and leadership in her current role.
Valerie holds an MBA from the University of Iowa, a US Professional in Human Resources Certificate, and a Hong Kong Teacher's Certificate, which further enriches her expertise.
