Liz is a graphic designer from León Guanajuato in Mexico. Since she was young, Liz has been experimenting and creating art with recycled materials. She gives them a new life by transforming the materials into colourful and unique products to sell.
Liz arrived in Australia in 2017 with her husband and a suitcase full of dreams, love and opportunities. Once in Melbourne, she became a Mum, and her new family encouraged her to follow her dream as an artist. She fell in love with the country that welcomed her to share Mexican traditions through her original works.
‘Liliz Lu Studio’ is her project, where Liz designs and creates environmentally-friendly products of high quality and detail. She uses recycled materials and mixed techniques like paper mache to hand mould and paint each piece.
The pieces in her collection include earrings, personalised figures and Mexican hearts – all inspired by her rich and diverse culture.
