Additional Year for Social Enterprise Employment Program

SisterWorks has been awarded an additional year extension for our Social Enterprise Employment Program, by Office for Women at the Victorian Department of Families Fairness and Housing.

This $200,000 extension will allow us to continue to provide practical training and employment within our Social Enterprise Production, expand our Speaking Engagement and Workshop Program, as well as some new initiatives to be launched later this year.

We thank Office for Women for their generous continued support of SisterWorks.

Hume Mobile Hub

In December SisterWorks was awarded a $10,000 grant from Hume City Council to deliver our Mobile Hub Program within the LGA.

SisterWorks Mobile Hub works with local community organisations in the area to deliver one-off and multi-class workshops in crochet, sewing and craft. These workshops are crucial to increase skills, build confidence and community connections while practising conversational English

StreetSmart - Employment Pathways Program Dandenong

SisterWorks was one of ten recipients of grants to support vulnerable women, from StreetSmart.

The $8,000 funding will support industry specific training and employment support to migrant, refugee and asylum seeker women (Sisters) at our Dandenong Empowerment Hub.
