Volunteering and Internships
SisterWorks helps to change the lives of migrant, refugee and asylum-seeking women but we can not do this alone. Since the start of SisterWorks we have had +500 volunteers help us deliver our mission of empowering women through work.
We need the support of volunteers to maximise the reach and seamless delivery of our programs, social activities and support services.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering your time and skills is a rewarding way to become part of our community and make a difference in the lives of our Sisters.
We invest in our volunteers, who have access to training, well-being sessions, and are invited to join in SisterWorks’ social activities. You will have the opportunity to make new friends, while gaining career and life experiences within a safe environment.
SisterWorks is a safe and inclusive space, we encourage volunteers from all backgrounds to apply.
"I wanted to give back to SisterWorks and help other women the way that SisterWorks helped me," says Desi.
“It gives me great joy to spend time each week getting to know the amazing, intelligent, multilingual, resilient and wonderful sisters that join my online English class each week” says Melissa.
