Emma joined SisterWorks in 2026 as the Carlton Program Manager, bringing together experience in healthcare, community engagement, and workforce development. Originally trained as a medical doctor in Venezuela, she rebuilt her career after migrating to Australia and has since dedicated her work to supporting culturally diverse communities through employment, education, and community connection.

Before joining SisterWorks, Emma founded Latincare Australia, a social enterprise that supports Spanish-speaking migrants through accredited First Aid training and pathways into the care sector. Having experienced the challenges of starting over in a new country herself, she understands the resilience it takes to rebuild a career and create a sense of belonging. This lived experience inspires her commitment to helping migrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking women recognise their strengths, build confidence, and achieve economic independence.
