A year of growth for SisterWorks and the broader community, as we opened our new Abbotsford Hub as well as a dedicated space at the Refugee Resource Hub in Dandenong
Abbotsford Hub Officially Opened by Minister Pulford
The doors to SisterWorks’ largest Empowerment Hub and main offices in Abbotsford were officially opened in June by Minister for Employment, The Hon. Jaala Pulford MP and our CEO, Ifrin Fittock.
SisterWorks celebrated our grand opening with nearly 150 supporters, funders, partners, and Sisters, all Welcomed to Country by Wurundjeri Elder, Thane Garvey. Our new home brings SisterWorks’ main office, our largest manufacturing facility and learning spaces under the one roof, increasing our efficiency and capacity to support more women.
Dandenong Hub Officially Opened in Partnership with ASRC
With the support of the City of Greater Dandenong, SisterWorks opened our newly dedicated space at the Refugee Resource Hub powered by Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) in Dandenong, making our services more accessible to refugee and migrant women living in Melbourne’s South East.
Our CEO, Ifrin Fittock, helped open the facility back in May 2022 with ASRC's founder and CEO, Kon Karapanagiotidis OAM, City of Dandenong Mayor, Jim Memeti, supporters and other heads of co-located organisations and programs
