Be inspired by one of our speakers, a woman from a refugee, migrant, or asylum seeker background sharing her story at your next corporate, educational, or International Women’s Day event.

Why book a speaker?

To date, SisterWorks has supported over 2500 women to become socially and economically empowered. Each one of these women has a unique voice that is shaped by her culture and lived experience.

Our speakers receive public speaking training and mentorship through SisterWorks' Speaking Engagement Program which help them build self-confidence by sharing their personal stories in front of an audience.

Through SisterWorks’ speaking engagement program, these women receive the mentorship and speaker training to help them confidently share their personal stories with the Australian community.

Engage one of our speakers to join your next event and gain insight into the strength, resilience and challenges that come with migrating and building a new life in a foreign country.

Our Clients

To date, our inspiring speakers have engaged with a wide range of organisations — including not-for-profits, government departments, corporate firms, local councils, law firms, and high schools.

“We felt privileged to have Faith come and share her story with us. Hearing about her life and what she has overcome was really inspiring. She is a great advocate for SisterWorks and it helped us to understand how SisterWorks helps women to thrive. I would highly recommend hearing Faith’s story.” – Minter Ellison

Storytelling for Virtual Events

We recognise that for many, working and studying from home is the new norm. That is why we can arrange for our speakers to share their story at either your in-person or virtual event.

“We booked a Sister as a speaker for our Refugee Week event in 2020. Although it had to be a pre-recorded address, SisterWorks were able to work with the woman to accommodate this. It was a significant and personal sharing of her experience of seeking refuge which brought home the message and importance of Refugee Week.”
