Since 2022, SisterWorks and L’Oréal Groupe have worked together to create employment pathways for women from migrant, refugee and asylum-seeker backgrounds.
The partnership connects women with warehousing training, workplace experience and employment opportunities, helping them build confidence, gain local experience and establish greater financial independence.
More than 50 women employed
L’Oréal Groupe has employed more than 50 women through distribution centre pathways in Victoria.
Many of these women completed SisterWorks’ Warehousing Program at our Dandenong Empowerment Hub before moving into roles at L’Oréal’s Distribution Centre, including picking and packing customer orders.
The partnership has also expanded interstate through a pilot in Brisbane, creating further opportunities for women in Queensland.
Building a pathway from training to employment
L’Oréal supports women before recruitment by helping them understand the industry, available roles and what to expect in the workplace.
As part of the Warehousing Program, Sisters have visited L’Oréal’s Distribution Centre to see its operations firsthand, explore different roles and ask questions about recruitment and career development.
L’Oréal team members have also delivered information sessions for program participants, introducing the company, workplace culture and employment opportunities available within the business.
These experiences give women practical insight into Australian workplaces while helping L’Oréal connect with skilled and work-ready candidates.
