A friend’s tip changes everything - joining SisterWorks

Sometimes, the best opportunities come unexpectedly. For Sasmita, it was a chance recommendation from a friend at RMIT University that led her to SisterWorks. Sasmita joined the Hospitality Program at SisterWorks, and things started looking up. It wasn't not only about learning new skills, it was also about finding her confidence again. Moreover, in this program, she even made new friends from India – proof that you can find a bit of home anywhere!

From Resume to Reality and Unexpected Bonuses

This is the exciting part: when joining the program, she also got guidance to craft a resume. The result? She landed a job at Delaware North, in front and back of house staff. It might not be the office administration role that she  dreamed of, but it is a great start. And who knows where it might lead? 

Although Sasmita joined the Hospitality Program in Term 1 of 2024, she realised that she got more than just job skills at the moment from SisterWorks. Not only did she see a significant improvement in her English, but also gained valuable experience working within diverse cultures.
